BF2 patch

Hello, I just downloaded the latest bf2 patch(1.4)and when I try to run it I noticed something strange. My C drive space just started to drop even though I have it saved it my D drive. It went all the way down to 4 kb!!

Then everything was running super slow so I restarted my computer and it went back up to its regular 600mb's. So why is it then when I try to install the BF2 patch I lose space from my C drive???

i see only three possibilities, either the file is a spoof file or the file has become currupt (unlikely if you downloaded this from EA)

Or

the file is not designed to run on a second drive, so try installing the file from drive C, the file code may be telling the pc to write a file and then search for it, when it cant find it (coz its looking on drive D) it retries.

Or

This is the least possibility but some games files may be dammaged, maybe a total uninstall and re-install might fix it.


If you haven't already, get the patch directly from here and try installing from drive C:. Hold the CTRL key as you click the download to make sure you get the new file and not your temporary (poss spoof) one
