i read a benchmark test where the ddr3 even with the slower timings (9-9-9-24 i think it was) ran just as fast as the ddr2 with 5-5-5-15...
the motherboard definately but im pretty sure that has nothing to do with your video card and you wouldnt need to change that.
i just skimmed through an article comparing ddr2 and ddr3...basically it said that ddr3 offers faster speeds at lower voltage and thus consuming...

yeah i saw that board on newegg on sale....however it doesnt quite spec out as well as the gigabyte one does...may have only been in the ram...
no i have not purchased that mobo as of yet.
