They seem incredibly similar, like a 3% higher clock speed on standard models is all I notice. I think it would just come down to what was bundled with the card if you were debating on which to purchase.
The 250's a good pretty recent card. If you're being offered that rig for a real good price it might be worth giving it a go before making a workstation card purchase but there's definitely supposed to be a pretty considerable difference, especially with programs like you mentioned.
I'm sorry...
My hardware crumbles under the strain of the current version, I doubt I'd get past the install screen of Crysis 2.
I'm not sure when the game is coming out and if they plan on making any major graphical improvements but I could see the minimum requirements being what the recommended requirements...
The spindle speed will determine how fast the hard drive can access data, you'll definitely want to go with the quicker speed on this one. I'm actually seeing the faster drive costing £84.99 when I check your links.
I would lean towards the Intel Core 2 Extreme Quad 2.53GHz. I'm not 100% sure of this one but even though the i7 is a fair bit newer that's a pretty massive different in clock speed. I think the i7 720QM is more of a laptop processor.
Hey Do, it's been ages! I hope all is well. I was actually just browsing through those pics of your pool you sent me several years back (upon which your signature is based), great stuff.
That is quite warm, your card does have a fairly bad rap for running hot. I don't think it's too threatening though, the idle temps especially aren't worrisome. If you're still concerned you might consider something like this.
While I'm by no means the leading authority on the matter I'd say go out and buy a 1+ TB drive now. They're becoming remarkably affordable and solid state drives are going to be ridiculously expensive for some time still. Even if there was a dramatic price drop before the holidays they'd still...
Hmmm, your cpu is still pretty decent but your vid card certain out paces it. I'm not sure what you're trying to put your rig through but I could see you benefiting from a more robust processor.
If you think you're in the market for an upgrade any of these processors will fit the socket of you...
