Video card a little hot...

So for some reason my video card is running hot I think. I have a GeForce 7950GT (Newegg.com - BFG Tech BFGR7950256GTOCE GeForce 7950GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards), and I've had it for a while (4 years) with no performance reduction. The only reason I noticed my temps were high was because I was monitoring the temps of my processor. But anyway, idle, my temps are around 65-70 degrees C and under load they can get up to and around 100 degrees. I feel like that is really high, but my case is open, I cleared all the dust out of the heatsink, and even had a small desk fan mounted and pointing right at it, which didn't help. So does this card just run hot? Should I get a better heatsink/fan for it? I can still run all my games perfect, i'm just concerned about the long term effects it can have.
 
That is quite warm, your card does have a fairly bad rap for running hot. I don't think it's too threatening though, the idle temps especially aren't worrisome. If you're still concerned you might consider something like this.
 
UPDATE
yes i was planning on getting something like that actually, but then a few days ago my video card burnt up and died. i guess i was a little too late. so i got a new one! hopefully it doesnt run super hot like the last one
 
Be careful, eventually nVidia will notice that the problem is in the driver and maybe even refuse to change the cards on warranty. I don't remember the whole thing but i heard 2 resellers talking, after they found the problem.
