Try the Ati card on another computer first, Rule out the Ati card.. The Ati card sounds bad..

I think your Problem is you have it backwards..The OS must be before the second drive or it will not work /run right.. I believe C: drive is almost always set to Default. You need to install your OS to C: drive then have D: drive for what ever want.. Give it a try...

Have you ever dropped this laptop?? Sounds like the lcd/led screen went out..

Do you have the motherboard system sound hooked up... If this is a Desktop, open the case and look at the front panel wiring pins.. look for system sound and unplug it.
