I think Acer recovery is alt+f10, is that your brand? Other brands (in no particular order use some of these combinations) f11 Alt f11 f10 f12 Basically try everything :) And some bioses have a direct route to the recovery program that you need to select.

A bit more information wouldn't go a miss - details of fault, have you tried plugging the mic into a different machine? Have you checked the audio levels (most importantly the 'recording' audio levels - if you are on XP/Vista)

Vista has an ultra gimped TCP stack, you may just be simply using too much - I upped mine from 10 to 1000 and now can leech from Usenet, Torrents while web browsing with no problems. I'll try to dig the link to the tool out later.

I have that set - I only use the coax from a media player - do you have an optical link that you could make use of? Its likely because the coax is a digital link (as opposed to the direct link) the speaker system will be doing the decoding itself as when using the direct option the on board...

It is a capacitor, it will be giving the gpu or the gpu's memory a good constant voltage. While your card may function ok without it you may find problems while playing games - if so they are dead easy to replace just find someone who can solder :)

Only if the other computer has almost exactly the same motherboard chipset. Best to take your whole computer over to a different network :)

I think the sound quality vs the price you can't do any better - but they havent updated the design in a looong time (as they are still selling well) - you can see this in the plastic-y remote but overall it's a pretty sweet setup. I have them up on my ceiling giving surround for my projector...

I have the z5500's and love them, can't vouch for the 2.1 sets personally though. Don't buy them for ebuyer though, i had to send mine back 5 times in total (their incompetent technicians really - not Logitech's fault)
