SO TIRED OF FAILING DRIVERS - ATI 3650 512 Pci-E 2.0 AND VIStA COLIDE

While i'm sure that it a valid point about opening them up you do have to worry about a company that while putting what must be so much money into R&D - they just seem unable to get the reliability the market demands more and more into their product via the drivers. I'd be interested to know...

Haha, my bad maybe get a 'wall to wall' thing going on ^^ - not too long just a couple of years, am lucky to be in an area (geographically speaking) with little competition and where reputation means everything. Think if i'd stayed in a city i'd be working for some company by now.

SO TIRED OF FAILING DRIVERS - ATI 3650 512 Pci-E 2.0 AND VIStA COLIDE

I agree to a degree however even though AMD now owns ATI I still don't think of them as being the same. I've always used AMD's processors and always used Nvidia's Graphics cards and weirdly because of this always thought of them being the best combination while the 'other' choice was to go with...

SO TIRED OF FAILING DRIVERS - ATI 3650 512 Pci-E 2.0 AND VIStA COLIDE

Yay another convert! Seriously though ATI should be really have sorted this mess out by now, i remember them having driver problems in my first year of Uni (cough cough 6 years ago). It just makes it an easier and easier decision as upgrade time rolls around if all you dare buy is nvidia. :)

    Reported posts league table :)

Bit of a silly suggestion but might be fun- We could have a reported posts league table - so we can see how many people each of us have reported and who has spotted the most scammers & advertisers?

    Norton Ghost

The original use for ghost was to make an identical clone of a one hard drive to another - they later added network support - we used to use a ghost server to push hard drive images to labs of 50+ workstations. I like it personally - although I hear it can be a bit fiddly when doing a vista...

    DVD burning ?

As far as I know imgburn is to burn images - not the actual dvd video structure (the vts stuff) If you have nero you can choose 'burn dvd vido' with using those files and should work. (nero 8.3.2.1 - working excellent on vista x64 here btw)

SO TIRED OF FAILING DRIVERS - ATI 3650 512 Pci-E 2.0 AND VIStA COLIDE

COD has issues with default audio bitrate - stupid I know, in order for me to play it I have to go lower than 24bit 96hz (you don't actually have to be using a digital output for this to be a bug) Worth a try - lower your audio bitrate :) (i know its giving you gfx driver error - but worth a...

    Phenom II x4 940 + SB600 OC

I keep mine running at 3.52ghz, as other tests have shown that the true power consumption of the chip over 3.6ghz is quite in-efficient. Gotta be kind to ol' mother earth :) It is a great cpu to overclock though, first time i've done it in years really.

Hmm, I'm not sure as Ive only ever set up tri-monitors on proper graphics cards - give all the options a go and see if you get anywhere :)

    problem with my router

TBH, while no first hand experience of that router - the draft N standard has not been ratified and yet the manufacturers are already using it. I'm yet to install an 'N' router that i've been impressed with - the best one ive installed in a home environment was a netgear prosafe G rated and...

How do I tell if my motherboard is dead

Apologies did not mean to offend - Just like to think that we give the most efficient solutions first. You are correct of course sometimes you get finicky motherboards - some even without the jumper to reset. Just be careful with those button cells, incredibly easy to short them just by...

Oh hey man, you expanding this to be sorta a social network for us ^^ Freelance only really, do have some regular clients though - also branching out into component electronics (starting to get sick of staring at screens all day)

    problem with my router

Are you in a good ol' solid house? Quite often if you have stone internal walls your floors will be a lot easier for WiFi signals to travel through (being wooden floorboards and joists) while they would struggle much more through the walls.

How do I tell if my motherboard is dead

Seems pretty silly to advise someone to do something that will take (in your eyes 24hrs) that could be done in a matter of seconds another way.

advent 5411 built in webcam drivers

I use a free trial of 'driver magician' sometimes to backup drivers for obscure hardware before a re-install. Could give that a try if you are thinking protectively.

Whohooo :D When Britain first, at heaven's command, Aro-o-o-ose from out the a-a-a-zure main, Arose, arose, arose from out the a-azure main, This was the charter, the charter of the land, And guardian A-a-angels sang this strain: Rule Britannia! Britannia...

hehe Oi its no bloody province! Why do you think that England, Whales, Scootieland all have their own parliaments - ok ours is the one true parliament - basically we just let the others play with monopoly money ^_^
