    Can't identify boot problem

I may have an small idea about what may be up, i used to have problems with my older ballistix ram - Turned out that the really old sticks needed 2.3v at stock! Once I got into the bios settings using just one stick (thats all it used to boot on) and ramped up the voltage - then re-installed...

    Regd. multiple writing on HDDs

I think that what donkey is trying to say is that go ahead and do what you want with multiple jobs on the hard drive without worry. Overworking a HDD will only break it if if was about to break anyway :D It will be the processor holding you back not the hard drive if anything at all :)

    Did I fry my mobo?

Were you observing the proper anti-static precautions when you removed the RAM? (something like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antistatic_wrist_strap) Have you tried starting the system with just one of the sticks in turn?

    Add USB sockets - advice

I always think that the PCI card is the cleanest way to expanding the USB's, untill I bought both of my new HD 24'' monitors - they have 4 port USB 2.0 hubs built into the sides - I used to have the exact same problem as you until I got these as my case is very old but I keep it for sentimental...

    Programs Won't Start

After a motherboard change unless you: 1. have nearly EXACTLY the same chipset on each 2. have done a 'repair' install over the one already present 3. re-installed the OS from scratch You will see a lot of system unstability - if it starts at all! :) why do you think it takes so long for...

Na it is one of the best in its class if you look at the power consumption of this between the intel x4's it beats them hands down - obviously not quite as powerfull also. Each manufacturer has made its boobs- remember the intel duron?? :D

Yes it has to be spread very finely (till you can almost see through it) Although you seem to have gotten away with it, yeah i'd say its the PSU probably too small then

Confused: My laptop is working without RAM. Can't find other RAM inside

Some laptops have RAM hard-wired to the motherboard and what you took out was probably the expansion RAM.
