Hi, I just recently upgraded my computer a little. I changed the Motherboard, graphics card, CPU and memory. They were all installed by a professional, who also installed all the necessary drivers. The hard drive was o.k so the operating system was able to load back up as it was before. My problem here is that certain programs fail to start. When I try to start them, the hour glass comes up as usual, but then a message pops saying that the program " has encountered an error and needs to close". Other programs run fine though. It seems that it's only the newest programs which are having this problem.
Please don't rush to judgment, for the past two days I have installed all new drivers for just about every part of my system, including all updates for my operating system. This was done through the help of 2 different programs that scanned my system and indicated where new drivers needed to installed and where I could get them and install them. Basically I have all the current drivers, operating system and Direct X files.
It can't be a problem with files being damaged from the upgrade, because I checked on that by downloading programs from the internet after the upgrade and they have the same problem. I've also ran a virus check and everything is clean.
