    Upgrading a graphics card

The 460 is awesome, but your system might be bottlenecking that kind of power (I don't know much about AMD CPUs, but I know that this one's not that new). I think that the best bet would be 250, since the 9800GX2 is kind of a freak and the raw power is not balanced out (driver glitches etc...

'Seconds' to set up fake website

A couple of months back Norwegian.net was a 99% similarly looking webpage to the legit Norwegian.com website. The Norwegian.net one was a fraud and a guy I know got f***ed over by them. Luckily he got the money back, but that's kinda scary. Now, the website's taken down.

    Porsche

Me? Jealous? No. Well, perhaps the good jealousy :D It's quite a cool thing if you can get what you want just like that. Good for them.

    Thermal paste for my GPU

Hi! I think I do know the answer already, but is there any difference between thermal pastes that one would apply on CPUs in comparison to GPUs? I mean - there shouldn't be, but considering the different environments (the GPU is usually the one that transfers the most heat into the PC case)...

    Porsche

Here thoughts would differ. I certainly prefer a muscle car - like the Ford Mustang (I'm gonna own one in a couple of years, you'll see :D ). Besides I guess that Bugatti uses still better materials. Not to forget mercedes which is a german car, too and their sports models are just as good...

Intel core Gaming Computer for $800

My thoughts (this is all considering that you like gaming as well - for movies this computer is good enough): 1. You have a DDR2 motherboard, get a DDR3 one (faster, cheaper memory modules) 2. Thus, get some DDR3 memory modules 3. A Quad core CPU would be better (or a dualcore with high...

    Nvidia or ATI

Eyefinity supports 3 monitors on the same card (depending on the model) - mine has 2xDVI and 1xDisplayPort. Plug in monitors and go (I am not sure how much configuration is needed in CCC)

Expert Advice Needed On PC Build.

Generally, yes. The one with the higher mhz? Any 480 will be awesome. Take the one w/ the highest stats (the clocks that each mod company puts on may wary).

    hard drive

2.5 can be used as well, it's just that you'd need something like this. Anyway, thanks for pointing that out. Get a 3.5 drive, of course. The small ones won't come with SATAII support anyway, I think.

    CrossfireX with two HD5770

Hi! As you can see in my sig, I have a XFX Radeon HD5770. I'd like to think about adding another HD5770, but I am not sure whether any other HD5770 will do or do I have to get the same XFX one? I am asking cause the case is kinda small and the available space in there is not what you'd...

PC running slow after x64 install, even though I have Athlon64

it's true that on a natively 64 bit system, 32 bit software runs atop a emulated 32 bit environment. Obviously, anything emulated is prone to being slower than a native environment. But I do not think that you screwed your system up by installing 64 bit xp and only then 32 bit xp (unless you...

Do i need to get CPU cooler if i am not into gaming?

yes. That's why CPU vendors supply a generic cooler for each unit in one package. If your question is to whether or not to get a third party aftermarket cooler, then, no, you don't. Even if you'd be gaming, you wouldn't need it. As soon as you start to overclock, you'll need to thing about it.

Laptop won't start charging unless in sleep mode, or turned off.

Had the same problem with an IBM thinkpad, though. Solution: change the charger.

COD on the Macbook Pro 13"

Gaming on a notebook is something that has never worked for me, so I'd take the mac any day as I think that macbooks are awesome for working and multimedia. If he wants gaming, then he should take the strongest from both of them and check the requirements of each COD installment (Wikipedia is...

Upgrading my build, replacing some old hardware - need help

All of this seems to go together well, but I am not sure about the medium-high gaming capabilities. It might get you medium all the way through, but high... I don't know. At the same time - if you change any of the components to something better, it would automatically require you to change...
