Mmk I updated the bios to the most recent version from the ASUS support site. And i've got the latest drivers installed. I'll let you know what happens!

Alright, now i'm really getting pissed off. :mad: Here's another symptom of this. It seems like every time before the internet fails, I hear some audio popping noises, kind of faint, but it happens each time before it fails. And i was playing a non-online game today and it did this. Then...

I did switch ports in the wall to my roomates old one, and he hasn't had any problems at all, on either port. Could it be skype? I am on skype when it happens usually.... Or could it be a defective motherboard?

Well, that didn't fix it. And neither did completely formatting the hard drive and putting OS 7 on it. I just have no clue what could be going on at this point..... :(

Thanks a ton Ferg, I downloaded the fix, and ran it. The value in question was set to 10, now its 100 per the fix. We'll see if this was the problem! I'll let you know.

I just built a new computer. Everything works great, however i'm wondering if it isn't using all the RAM i put in. I installed 6 gb's (2gb x 3, gskill, 1333 ddr3) into a PT6 MOBO. Bios reads it just fine. When i stumbled into system information, i found that... Installed Physical Memory...

Update: I took out all non essentials, and then w/o the HDD--No Luck Sometimes the computer screen goes on and shows the bios, but it freezes. Sometimes the screen doesn't even come out of hibernate. :doh: I tried with either stick of ram in the first slot-- no luck...

Ok here's the update... :( Now the screen doesn't even turn on and show the bios when the computer starts. I tried what you said and unplugged all unnecessary things, including one try w/hard drive, and one try w/o hard drive. Both tries were unsuccessful. I am not able to see anything...

Thanks for the reply. I will try what you've said. When you say unplug everything, what exactly do you mean? Just run with mobo, processor, psu, and ram? I will test this soon, then I will also plug in the old psu to see if that does anything. Does anybody else have any insight on this...

Ok to start off, I had some symptoms before the computer all out crashed. It would totally freeze up and i would have to manually restart. Sometimes the computer would work fine for hours, then do it, and sometimes it would only work for a bit. It even froze when i went into SAFE MODE...

hmm well it says that my drive is Master.. should it be slave?

Well i looked at that link, and did what it said. but the settings were already configured the correct way. Thanks for the try though man I also tried what the bottom of the page says (uninstall drivers, then reboot). nothing worked..
