So in your opinion will I be ok using the video card for about a month without upgrading to a better psu? I realize i'm asking difficult questions that have many variables, but I don't know much of anything about psu's.

So if I dont meet that minimum then will it hurt the card or will it just preform slower??

I know that reading the wattage doesnt mean much but honeslty I dont know what anything about it is. So what I should have asked is: Assuming that my psu is a quality 360W unit could it hurt the video card?? Or can I play with it but I will just have unconsistint gameplay?

I agree, however Microsoft is behind halo and vista so... I can see them making halo 2 require vista so they get 3x the money from people buying vista.

I was asking if you put your psu into consideration. And are u limited to AGP cards??

Im having the same problem as you. Only, are you limited to AGP?? Because if not, don't get a 7800. Get a 7900 for cheaper. Another factor that you may or may not have put into consideration is your psu. Is there a possibility that for a 7800 or 7900 you will need to get a new psu?

I just tried a Geforce 3 ti 200, I understand that it only has 128mb's or memory and its too slow for quake(average maybe 15fps) but it still only detected my video memory at 64mb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
