When I decide(have the $ to)to get more ram should I scrap my 1 gig(2x512) pc 2700 and get a faster ram? Or should I get 1 gig(2x512) pc3200 and just run it at pc2700 speeds until I have enough money to get another gig? If you have any other suggestions they would be appreciated. thx

Unless there are exceptions that I dont know about then pc3200 runs at 400mhz. But if for some reason the new stick that you bought is a lower speed then your computer will automatically slow down your other ram so that both sticks run at the same speed.

Check the ram speeds individually on your computer by just putting in 1 stick and going into bios, then the other stick. Just to make sure that there both pc3200.

repairing the drive didnt help but I did compress some files in C and i had 160mb's of free space but then when I turned my comp on this morning I only had 80mb's. Where is this memory going?!
