    If the Linux boot manager is Screwed Up, then You are lucky you can do Anything, Usually It won't even let boot into nothing..I am surprise it...

    I would use either Gigabyte or Asus or MSI motherboards, the Asrock are made poorly and fail my list..But that is just my opinion...

    Have you tried, Removing the Bio's battery for 10 minutes, then install your New ram to see if it will work ?
