I would re-seat the Ram, Turn off the laptop, Unplug from the wall... Next remove all ram sticks, Wait 10 minutes and the reinstall and try..
Well 70 is getting on the real hot side, you really want on idle 30-40 and never going over mid 60's...Since it was dropped, it probably did some...
