New Man Needs a Bit of Help

Yes, your CPU is compatible with the motherboard which is compatible with your RAM. I'd prefer a different manufacturer of motherboard ~ ASUS, Gigabyte or MSI. If all the items are good (in some cases you can get bad hardware, you can just RMA it and get it replaced) they will work perfectly...

Planning a new build. Will these go together?

Change the motherboard, an H61 motherboard on an unlocked i5 processors ~ it's just a waste on the processors overclocking ability. Not really sure as to your PSU since you didn't mention the model, but ~500w to 600w from a good manufacturer PSU is enough for a single card, a couple of HDD/SSD...

    AMD X6 + ATI 7750 with 430w corsair PSU?

Yes your motherboard can accommodate the GPU, since it has a PCI-E slot. For the PSU though, do you overclock your phenom x6? I suggest a 550w-600w-750w PSU depending on which one fits your budget. It will give and assure you more upgrade options in the future as well.

New Rig - quick advice please

I think it's a waste getting an Ivy Bridge and a Z68 motherboard.. I suggest switch it to a Z77 board of your preference. I see you picked a Gigabyte motherboard, you can try the Gigabyte Z77-UD3/D3H if it's in your budget. If you want more functionality, the UD5 and UD7 is also out in the...

Dual-screen setup using DVI and VGA?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, I got confused. So the working monitor is on the DVI cable connected to the GPU, the one that won't work is the one with the VGA cable with the DVI to VGA adapter on the GPU. Am I right?

    problem with cpu

Well depending on the model of your Phenom, you need an updated BIOS. Are you on the latest BIOS? Did you insert the CPU correctly? What's your PSU?

    DDR3 speed balance for enthusiast

You can hardly notice any difference if you tweak the timings, and it's gonna be a trial and error on which timings are stable. I think your RAM supports 1866Mhz, that should be good enough and with corsair you just need to change the speed in the BIOS to change it.

    problem with cpu

AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE 3.4GHz AM3 requires an am3/am3+ socket motherboard. Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe (awesome motherboard at that time) is an am2/am2+ type motherboard. I believe that it's not compatible with your new CPU, if it does support it, which asus website doesn't specify that it supports...

Received new computer parts for christmas and computer BSOD's on startup

I agree, a fresh install of OS is one solution. How are you sure that there are no motherboard drivers on it? Also another thing that might have caused it, are the RAM from previous build to new motherboard compatible?

    Best gaming laptop?

Custom built laptops by system builders is expensive relative to laptops from manufacturers. If you want customized laptop of your choice, you can go to system builder (+$$$) or go find a good DELL/Alienware/MSI/ASUS laptop that will pretty much do the same job for you.

    Bios freezing up with DVI

If you have any spare monitor that has an HDMI port, try your system on another monitor, if you can find one to test. My remaining ideas are to clear CMOS then try to boot.

    Bios freezing up with DVI

how could you know that you have booted unto windows without a monitor attached? you have an pretty old card which does not support HDMI output so using a dvi to hdmi converter on the card has a 50/50 chance to work, don't know if it could even work properly. If you're thinking about expenses in...

    Bios freezing up with DVI

Try the following: 1. Plug the DVI to HDMI converter on the dvi output of the card. Boot your computer and use the VGA cable output first on any monitor (might as well try it on the led tv and don't plug any cable to the DVI/HDMI output. Next see if it boots and is working properly. Then remove...

Dual ASUS DRW-24B1ST Not Burning / Burning Blank Discs

Try to use one of the drives in another computer, see if it works. You can also try and install the latest drivers for your drives. (Windows 7 has better automatic driver installations)

New RAM in my lappy - very flaky

Very true. What is the model of your laptop? Does it support 2Gb RAM? I'm assuming your laptop is old since before upgrading RAM, you only had 1x1Gb of RAM from an unknown manufacturer.

    Best gaming laptop?

I personally prefer MSI. The MSI GT70 is not a bad choice, this laptop is the beast. Able to run any game you throw at it at max 1080p and able to run smoothly and any program you run without a problem.
