For starters, I wouldent buy the 8600GTS, its not worth it at this moment and is out performed by an X1950Pro, for abit more you could get an 8800GTS 320mb, later on this year Nvidia are releasing a 256bit version of the 8600GTS that may actually be good though.

It wouldent be a bad thing looking for good features though for future upgradability, plenty of SATA connections incase you happen to get lots of SATA drivers :P

Hi, just curious as to what LtcyCfgSvc.exe, its showing in Processes in Task Manager, User Name: System, but It looks suspicious, I have never seen it before, anyone else came accross this and could it be a virus or key logger or something? Anti-Virus did not pick anything up.

Hehe np, yea you must of been confusing those :p, I mean all ram is Single channel and Dual channel is were 2 sticks are paired, 64bit x 2 which equals 128bit so double the bandwidth.

Thats not the main reason to upgtade to a mobo with PCI-E, its mostly because AGP is dead, allthough ATi is still releasing cards for AGP (X1950Pro), its not offering a good upgrade path, I dont even thing that the full potential of AGP has ever even been used yet, but I dunno on that, but still...

1 stick of ram is single channel, when you place 2 sticks of 1GB ram in, your going to get Dual Channel, but you have to place them in the same color slots of the 2 together. I dont know about the performance boost, but is it only like 30%?

The 7950GX2 has been going at around £100 at OcUK in clearence I think, the 7950GT, I would think thats worth around £110 now second hand.
