im trying to build a pc with 1400 euro budget after 2 days of searching that what i found the best for the budget

please report for ur opinions and replaces if u thik it is better for the price
 
For starters, I wouldent buy the 8600GTS, its not worth it at this moment and is out performed by an X1950Pro, for abit more you could get an 8800GTS 320mb, later on this year Nvidia are releasing a 256bit version of the 8600GTS that may actually be good though.
 
i just got a good price for my laptop and now i would like to get a pc so i can at least play some games
8600 gts is 215 euro
8800 gts is 315 euro

100 euro between them as im not a super gamer will i ever notice the diff between them or will not worth the 100 euro ?
 
Well I would save and get the 640mb, but the 320mb is good enough, I wouldent get the 8600GTS because its not worth it at all, your might aswell get an X1950Pro since it performs better and I doubt the 8600GTS will be good enough in DX10, but with a gamers card, at least when you play games you can play them at a decent level :)
 
that is great information,i have 1 month till i get my pc maybe prices become better
i may go for the 8800gts
what u think is a good psu with a decent price
 
Ohh yea, I am glad you mentioned that, the PSU does not seem to be very good, its an unknown brand, comes with computer case maybe?


Anyway, people think you need like 600W Power suppys to run 8800GTs's and 800+ for the GTX's, when on a high quality unit you would only need something like 500W, people report 450W that there using.

do u think that ill need that motherboard ?
as i never plan to get sli
shall i get something cheaper or what u think?
 
You could get a different motherboard than the Asus Commando. Asus own P5B series are much cheaper, along with Abit's AB9 series...MSI, Gigabyte...unless you're dead set on the Commando, you could really save some cash there. Hell, I picked up the MSI P965 Neo-F, which runs $90 or less (sometimes under $80) in the US online shops, and that might be a good option if you're looking for a basic motherboard. Abit's IB9 is also about the same price, and the reviews make it out to be another nice, no-frills motherboard for Core 2 Duo builds. Pretty much any board with the P965 chipset is right up your alley.

Regardless of what you do, don't skimp on the PSU.

A few models to look around for that should do the job:

Enermax EG565P (I run the -VE in my main box)
Hiper Type-R 580
Hiper Type-M 530
OCZ PowerStream 520
OCZ GameXStreme (any wattage)
Corsair HX520 (the 620 will also work, but probably isn't necessary since you're not going SLI or Crossfire)
Fortron BlueStorm 500

Actually, anything 500-550W from those companies is fine. Some other brands that would also fit the bill at 500W+:
-Tagan
-Antec
-XClio
-Ultra (the X-Connects can be shaky, but the X2 and X3's are fine)

You can go with a slower CPU or so, but skimping on the power supply is a very poor place to cut corners. You can damage or destroy hardware with a crappy PSU, not to mention risk instability. You don't need a 1kW PSU, but a good, quality unit is highly desireable.
 
Everyones Hipers are apparently blowing up now, seems like there un reccomended now.
