I was needing a better cooler for my XFX 1GB 4870 and I heard about the accelero s1, read about temps being lowered by 30c, which is what I needed. Mine finally came in and I installed that sucker as best as I could, slapped on a fan and loaded the computer..
Before Temps:
Idle : 70C
Under Load: 90-95C
After Temps:
Idle: 70C
Under Load: .. pretty much the same
I have placed the 8 given heat sinks onto the memory ram and my VRM came with a stock heatsink, do you guys think I wasted 30$ or am I doing something wrong?
Like everyone else one of the heatsinks for the memory was hitting the heatpipes.
If you guys need pictures I'll unattach it and take pics, thanks.
