A few questions about refurbished computers.

Hi, I am on a really tight budget and I was wondering if it would be smart for me to buy a factory refurbished desktop through best buy? will it quit on me fast or do you think it's reliable? Oh and is a NVIDIA Geforce g100 512mb good enough for starcraft 2? Btw the refurbished desktop has an Intel core 2 quad running @ 2.33 GHz. Is That better then an athlon 2 X2 running @ 2.8 GHz? I am not really a fan of refurbs on electronics, my concern is that it might go bad in a couple of months and find myself paying more on repair than what I have actually paid for the machine.But somebody told me that if it last for more than 90 days then it would last for years. If you are really in a tight budget, why don't you give it a try and get an extended warranty for refurbished desktops.
 
Depends on the price of this used computer, I am a BIG fan of used/ Refurbished computers, I am using on one right now! I have this older IBM that i paid $40.00 for and it works great.
There are allot of different places where you can get some very good used PC's for cheap and they work great.. just do allot of looking first..
 
^Seriously 40 bucks??? If I will be paying 40 bucks for a computer then I'd go for it. SOme online stores sell refurbs just a couple hundred less from the brand new that's why I would be willing to pay the difference just to get a new one.
 
Yea ! I paid $46.00 bucks and that was with the shipping..It is an IBM Netvista 2.6 ghz with 512 ram with a 30 gb hard drive..All I did was up the ram to 1 gig and install a bigger hard drive..
