I've got an Acer 3810TZ, about 6 months ago the LED screen went dark, i could just make out the icons on the screen if I used a light up close to the screen, but it wasn't usable so got the screen replaced.
Now in the last few days i'm getting the same problem but intermittently, i assume this is a problem with the video cable rather then screen as it's not always dark like before. But when I need some advise about is when the screen is working OK is there is a constant dark patch in the bottom right of the screen like it's bruised, could a video cable problem cause this or it is likely to be something else? I can't get hold of a replacement cable until start of Jan so any options before I buy one would be useful.
Also when connected to external monitor there are no problems, dark patches etc so I presume the GPU is fine.
