Acer 5735 no graphics on screen

Hi All
I have an Acer 5735 laptop. When I switch on all works as it should except no graphics on screen. When connected to an external monitor all works fine.
Also the charger will only charge when external monitor is connected.
Have reseated the graphics card with new paste but still no better.
Sensible ideas appreciated.

No not been dropped getting picture on laptop occasionally Have changed the mainboard and checked connections on LCD I think I need to try another LCD
