agp question for a friend

ok he's the one typing this:

Hey all, I'm looking to upgrade my pc, and, whilst its pretty old, I only really want to upgrade my graphics card.

can someone please confirm that the available slot on my motherboard is in fact an AGP slot. (it doesn't even have a gfx card, all integrated ~ packard bell :( )


Waffles seems to think its agp given its brown, and the pci are white, but I'd like a second opinion :cool:, I'm not looking to put a 6800 ultra in there, as the rest of the pc would bottle neck it, but something like a mx4000 would be ideal.

I'm with Waffles on this one, probably AGP 3.3v, though because it's some weird packard bell mobo with integrated graphics there may not be a graphics port like AGP, because it's older don't rule out it being an ISA slot. But my money is still on AGP because of the configuration and size.
Don't forget to register too:)

Oh, and btw the picture is huge and took over 10 minutes for it to load and view, cropping the slots would probably be a better plan for us dial-up users.
 
Assming this is what you'd still want you can try something on this page. I don't think this card will create any problems though that is an old slot, 4x is backward compatable though. Otherwise you're pretty much limeted to a Radeon 7000 or a GeForce 2MX which would suck.

considering the system didn't have a graphics card, and its like a 1000mhz duron or something, anythings an improvement.
