OMG, my parents want me to do good in college, then what do they do, 3rd week into college, there going to take me on holiday, i have argued with them for hours saying i dont want to do as i got heap loads of college work, and they say though your going :o, OMG, there going to mess my college life up big time.

Willz, dont turn Holidays down! You might find you cant afford them when you have to pay yourself. Ive been once in 8 years and I only went on that with the OU as part of my course!

I would disagree completely. In college, you really don't want to be taking holidays during term time if you want to do well. Especially if you feel as if you've got a lot of work to be getting on with.

Its quite hard to believe that they make you go to college yet want to jeopardise your education for a holiday.

Yeah that's freaking stupid. /agree Willz & Addis. I know how it feels to have a load of homework and other people not getting it through their head. My roommates used to bug me all the time last year to go hang out or to watch TV or something and sometimes didn't even try very hard to keep quiet... The worst experience in college is when u're too far behind on homework and have to stay up nights to finish everything b4 deadlines. I'd rather never have any fun than have that torture. Sorry about your undemocratic parents, Willz.

They said that i can stay at home now, i have been stupid and said i would go, just thought it was wierd them changing there mind like that, must of been a catch, anyway on holiday i will do all the written work, and its only 3 and a half days away from college as the timetable is preety slack at the moment and due to the fact what i miss will be web graphics and Visual Basic, i aint too bothered as there both easy for me and if i dont know somthing, i can learn it preety quick :), if it was somthing like umm spreadsheets and database, then i would proberbly stay at home.

It's ok, all we are doing is a 3 task assignment that i should have done before i even go on holiday and its due in on the day i get back :)
