Asus p4c800-deluxe fan speed question

I have a silent-x fan that runs at 1200rpm max. I have it plugged into my Asus p4c800-deluxe motherboard. When I run the Asus Probe software it does not detect my fan. Does anybody know why that happens. Is it because the rpm is to low on the fan or is it that the fan has no speed sensor. Please help if you can.

if it has 3 wires on the fan then its likely to have a sensor, the rpm shouldnt matter, but if it only has 2 wires then it wont have a sensor.
 
Actually Matt555, ive seen alot of motherboards that have the 3pin fan headers but only 2 out of the three headers can detect the RPM!
make sure the fan isnt plugged into the PWR_FAN header and if it still doesnt work try a different fan!
 
As long as the fan is moving, you should be good. 1200RPM isn't a hell of a lot, and may be low enough the motherboard may not even detect it.
