Best Gaming Rig

Hey can a good gaming computer be done with 1000$ as the budget?
the specification's are that it has to run World of Warcraft Pretty Much perfectly with 60-80 FPS normally

post your idea's here i play WoW and in major need of a new Rig and id like some opinion's plus Ive seen some of the best build's in post's like this

BTW no worry for mouse keyboard and monitor

and OS = XP

Is the budget strictly to $1000 or is there some leeway????
 
Here is an option that you can consider for your new rig:

CPU: Intel i7 920

Mobo: MSI X58 Pro LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

Memory: OCZ 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3
(I strongly suggest you look more in to this becuase there are so many choices so you can find your self a better buy)

Graphics Card: SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 4870 1GB (again look into this)

Hard Drive: SAMSUNG 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache

PSU: SIGMA 800W (900W Peak) (you must look into this, too many to choose from so find the best price but good quality of build)

OS: (what operating system would you like Vista or XP???

Sound: The mobo has an in built sound chip but if you want better quality of sound then you would need a sound card but that would add to the budget.

I left out case so you can decide on which one appeals to you but if you get one for around $50 - $60 + a DVD drive which is around $15 it would put it just over budget.


Anyways the total budget would be around $1100 but if you shop around you will reduce it to the budget of $1000, so look at different retailers.

OR YOU CAN GO AMD II IN WHICH CASE IT WILL BE A LOT CHEAPER THAN THE INTEL RIG THAT I HAVE GIVEN.

you can overclock them cpu's pretty decent :)
I did have my q6600 upto 3.8ghz @ 1800mhz fsb until my board cocked up lol.
 
those are great and as you suggested Pimp i probly would go with an AMD but idk i think i need more selection's / opinion's hopefully this will not only help me but other's in my same situation

Yeah I think you should go for AMD but the new Phenom II would be a good choice but I also think that BoBBYI986 option is a good rig to consider as well so I guess you have a lot of thinking on your hand.
