Let me explain. A few days ago I accidentally ran over the DC side of the power adaptor for a Toshiba Satellite Pro, with the vacuum cleaner. This shredded part of the cable & it wasn't plugged in at the time. I have since replaced it with a new supply but wondered if I could salvage the old one by cutting out the bit that was shredded & remaking the connection inside the "brick" style housing. But there are no screws. Anyone know if there is a technique for doing this without mangling the plastic case beyond safe & sensible use? TIA.
