cant hear sounds

hi there...i got a new LG dvd writer
LG GSA H12N

whenever i insert a dvd movie, it does play but without sound...
any help will be appreciated...thanks

Do you hear sound with any other type of CD?
If its just DVD then install [google]K Lite Codecs pack[/google] and see if it goes way :unsure:

i downloaded n installed the k-lites pack...now i hear the sound but it is very choppy..n unclear...any ideas on how to fine tune it??? n thx karan

Download VLC media player - Overview and play your DVD in it....See how it goes :unsure:
