I dont get how it can intake air from the side, its just a crappy fan and a piece of metal with some fins on, nothing to direct air sidewards.

Exhaust is ~5x more efficient than intake. That said, intake fans are good to direct air, such as across your HDD.

Yea, or directly into your HS fan. When the air has gone through the heatsink it is then exhausted by the fan on the back and PSU.

On my case the fan on the side would be blowing more onto the ram, but these fans are really weak now, infact 2 led's on each fan have stopped working :s and they dont suck up much air, i have some better ones, but there too loud and my mobo cant adjust fan speeds like my old mobo, this mobo is crap compared to my old one, its a shame my old one was faulty :(

Hmmm, you could get a fan controller. I happen to have a spare.

Vantec Nexus. I used it for a while and I really liked it. The only drawbacks are the fact that it cannot turn fans all the way off and it goes in a 5.25" drive bay. That is why i switched to a 3.5" that will turn off fans. If you don't have a problem with either of those then it is great. It is silver. Here is a link to it's page on the Vantec website.

Hmm, oh well. Then get the other Nexus that does. It goes in a 3.5" bay and comes with 2 blue cathodes.

Yea, Gatewatch, it is a multi-function though. That is fine but it takes 2 drive bays and cost more than a simple fan controller.

Hmm, if i got one, i would take one of my dvd drivers out and either mount on the top of the case, or inside somewere.
