hi, at the moment in the empty hdd/cd/fdd bays there is loads of ide wires and other cables just all stuffed in there, at the bottom of the case there is a large concentration of wires, is it ok to use somthing like masking tape or see through sticky tape in the case to stick the wires nicely to the side of the case so its all tidy.

what, so i have to tape all the inside of the case first?
I'm not making you but it's a good idea just incase of shorts! (you don't have to tape all the case just the parts where the cables will be)
It's not critical but i have done this in the past!

I'm just saying incase some of the sheilding comes of the IDE cables or something, like i said it's not critical but it's up to you!
On my old computer some of the sheilding came off the Molex connector and touched the case metal and stuffed the PSU, like i said OLD computer, modern PSU's have protection for this!

Theres no need to do that. Simply taping cables to the side of the case is ok. Obviously if you strip your molex connectors and then short them its not good but they're insulated anyway.

Zip ties are nice for bundling up wires that you don't use. Of course, if you have a modular power supply, this can cut down on the clutter, but if you don't have one, they're very handy just for that. A few well placed zip-ties can keep things in order without a sticky residue later on.

I have a modular power supply, its the hiper type-r 580w, the power supply is'nt making the clutter, its all the lights :\ well wires for the lights
