Choice of RAM

Hi, i am new here but i have a problem. My bios displays this message as my ram information
1024mb/266Mhz(DDR2533)
Can i use a 2gb DDR2 ram with 800MHz?

if you buy a 2gb stick of 800mhz ram, it will automatically be clocked down to the maximum your board supports which is 667mhz and it will also run in single channel config. so you are best getting two 2gb sticks of 667mz ram and installing them in dual channel configuration. dual channel the cpu can request twice the bandwidth.
 
I'd recommend G.Skill RAM if you can get it. For me, it's consistently been the best for the price, performance and reliability.
