closing down

Hi can anybody help me with this problem, when closing down windows i used to just click on closing down and it would now for some strange reason when i try shutting down another window appears and say's device 10 notification end program now and i have to click on end now to closdown the system how can i get back to the old way

Click on closing down? Not sure what you mean. Click on the X?

Do you mean SHUT down ? are you trying to SHUT down the computer OR just close a page ? If you Are Shutting down the computer and get this message then look at the last thing you downloaded it could be your problem..you can also (msconfig) and check there to see if your program is there to uncheck..

Are you sure it is "10" or "io"? Just Googled and found this -

Any help? Instructions by the way are way down the chain but they are there...
