The PSU and RAM are fine. It's a new RAM stick (DDR2 667MHz) which made my onboard video work again (I previously had no image at all), and the PSU I tried it in another computer and everything worked fine, so it's probably HDD or Mobo. Whenever I try booting it goes to the XP loading screen, then a very quick blue screen message appears and the PC reboots. Also, I can't get it to boot any CDs from the CD/DVD drive! So I can't even run tests in an Ubuntu live CD. Here's a video showing the problems: The error is: c0000218 {Registry File Failure} The registry cannot load the hive (file): /SystemRoot/System32/Config/SOFTWARE or its log or alternate. It is corrupt, absent, or not writable. Beginning dump of physical memory. Physical memory dump complete. Contact your system administrator or technical support group for further assistance
That's probably HDD, Try to Scandisk or Defrag using other PC. If the problems occur again, Try resetting the BIOS Setup.
I will have to agree, It looks like the hard drive has errors on it.. You need to take it out and piggy back it with another computer,Then right click on the drive and go to properties then tools and check for errors, make sure you have both check marks in to repair...
