Um... I am missing both Config.sys and Autoexec.bat, they are not there, when I tried to edit them via sysedit and run>config.sys or run>autoexec.bat what shows up is..... a blank notepad!!!
To the furthest of my computer knowledge(Which is not very large  ) I believe that these files, especially Config.sys are the most important files in the entire computer, I also believe that the boot is run off of Config.sys and Autoexec.bat. Of course I am probably wrong, however I will leave my computer running and start backing up files preparing for the worst. :Frown:
And if this is not some system threatening problem then I also need help with the original problem (The reason I tried editing config.sys) is because NTVDM CPU is not allowing my MSDOS prompt to work[plus there is an error message I will have to post later (I know you can always bypass the prompt by editing the paths but I would still like to have it working anyways)] and because I am out of 'conventional' memory, (who the heck thought up of that, right after you install your drivers and programs you realise that, that one DOS program you needed to install can't because it needs some of the memory you !Just finished filling up! : Doh: )
Hey I don't know all the smilies, how am I supposed to do it without BB code, lol
