Core 2 Duo Compatible

Hey,

I am building a new PC soon with an Intel Pentium D 805 processor.
In the future, (possibly in 1 year) I will be looking to change to Core 2 Duo, but would like to keep the memory and motherboard.
On ASUS's website, they display a range of their motherboards which support Core 2 Duo, will these also support the D 805?

For ASUS:
P5B/P5B Deluxe
P5W DH Deluxe
P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe
 
Are these all compatible with the Pentium Ds?
Just want to verify it as I am ready to order soon.

I also noticed that some of the boards are not SLI ready.
So really I'm looking at the P5N32-SLI SE Deluxe or the P5NSLI.

Compatible with Pentium Ds and Core2's - 1 of them supporst the SLI while the other supports Crossfire (matters if you're going nVidia or ATI).

If you question a motherboard, there should be information about what it supports when you buy it; otherwise goto a site like Newegg.com and you can perform searches that meet your specifications. Newegg carries close to every (generally available) product out there that you would usually look for.
 
I was saying to use it's filtering software to find compatible products. Then go look up prices for them elsewhere.
 
Yeah, Newegg has a much larger range than ebuyer (which I currently use).
I think im just going to use a mobo that supports Pentium D, I can always get a new one if I upgrade to Core 2 Duo.
 
Thats up to you, the P5W should be at my door by the end of the week, right now its the best overclocker for the duo. The longer you hold out on the Conroe (and products) line, the cheaper it will become, especially if you wait until next year. Especially if you're focused on SLI or X-fire, which right now are using two PCIe x16's running at x8, maybe by the time you're ready for it, they'll both be running at x16.
