CPU Fan Upgrade

Hello and good day!

To keep this short, I have recently been having some small heating issues with my CPU.
The idle temps are 45-47 or so. That's not too bad, but it's not where I would like them to be.
Under load, my temps are 63-65.

It has been much worse in the past, so I see this as a time to upgrade.

My motherboard:
EVGA nForce 790i Ultra SLI Motherboard - NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra SLI, Socket 775, ATX, Audio, PCI Express 2.0, SLI Ready, S/PDIF, USB 2.0, Firewire, eSATA, RAID

Anyway, I'd like to upgrade my CPU fan.

My question is simple: "Will this fan fit in my motherboard?"

I am using a Intel stock fan...and it's for a duo core...not a quad (which is what I have).

I would greatly appreciate any and all input. Also, if you guys or gals have any suggestions as to any CPU fans that will fit, I would gladly listen.

All that matters is that it fit the socket. And yes, this socket fits all LGA 775 sockets. Now what you want to make sure of is that it fit your case since this fan is pretty big (here's a pic just to get an idea). Good choice too on the copper heatsink... beats aluminum.

That fan certainly will not fit in on my motherboard (the heatsinks block it).
As for my case...I do not want to take the risk.

Would you have any suggestions on CPU fans?
I'd prefer a quiet, copper fan.

Your input would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not 100% positive that it is unable to fit. In all honesty, I do wish that I could be more positive--it's a good fan.
However, if you look at the motherboard, the heatsinks surrounding the CPU are pretty close, limiting the area.

This fan did not fit because of the copper tubing on the right side. The heatsinks got in the way.

Since then, I've been really cautious about which fans I buy. Maybe overly cautious >.<.
I just do not want to run into the same situation.

Cube, I appreciate your input and time with helping me. The fan you linked should fit-I just like to be sure.
 
Yeah i seem those heat pipes extend pretty long. I was looking at the dimensions at both heatsinks but am still unclear as to the heatsink size.
But i do have some good news: I was looking at old reviews of your motherboard on newegg over here to see if anyone used the 9500 heatsink, and I found some interesting reviews.
Many users claimed to have fit a Zalman 9700. One claimed to have extra room after the install. Now here's the cake, one user who installed the 9500A claimed the following: "If you are going to use the ZALMAN 9500A, you will need to rotate the bracket that goes on the top side of the motherboard 90 degrees and shave down the tab that the clip grabs onto next to the northbridge. It was a squeeze but its fine now."

So it's up to you to take the risk and do the same. Chip off the side of the bracket. You can get this one too for the same price. It sits high and looks like it'll hover over your mobo's heatsinks and ram modules.
