Hi All,
After having a very minor impact on my Latitude X1, 2-foot hand to carpet, my screen cracked and I discovered to my cost that the free hardware cover I got with the PC was not worth the paper it wasn'y written on.
But that's not my beef.
In trying to get a replacement part I discovered that the one online store I found for the 12.1" WXGA screen was suddently out of stock after re-stocking only a few weeks before.
But that's not my beef either.
My question is from the above minor accident and the sudden lack of parts, what is the scale of this problem, is the Latitude X1 particularly sensitive to minor impacts or heaven forbid is there a design fault?
So, do you have a dell X1 laptop or a Samsung Q30, which is a almost identical item?
Have you had an impact or drop? How bad? What happened?
Assuming more information is better than less, it would be good to guage the scale of this issue.
