Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk and Press Enter

Hi,

I'm using Windows XP Pro. When I switch my computer on, I get the following message: "Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disk and Press Enter".

The problem happened after I replaced one of my secondary hard drives. Windows was working fine before that. The new hard drive I installed is identical to the last one I installed and I did it in exactly the same way. I've checked all the connections and they all appear to be fine. I noticed that the IDE cable for the primary hard drive had become disconnected and thought that might be the problem, but I reconnected it and tried again and it made no difference. I also tried disconnecting the new hard drive, but that didn't help either.

Please can someone suggest what I can do to get my computer working again?

At the back of the new hard drive, there are 4 pairs of pins with a black piece on it. This piece is called a 'jumper', and should be set correctly. If you still have the old drive, look at the pins that are connected with the jumper. At the new hard drive, make sure that the jumper connects the same pins as the old drive.
 
Could also be the BIOS re-shuffling the Hard drive boot order - Rhoch's idea should be checked first however.
 
This hard drive doesn't use jumpers, however, I found when I disconnected all my secondary hard drives and reconnected them one by one, my computer started working again.
