Hi Guys,
I have a friend who has a software program on his PC that requires a dongle to be inserted into the LPT port. He has had the need to replace his PC with a laptop, the laptop does not have a LPT port therefore he needs some sort of adapter that can be plugged into a USB port.
We did look at USB-To-25-Pin-RS232-DB25-Female-Parallel-Printer-Adapter Cable, but read that this will only work for a printer and will NOT work for a dongle.
The software manufacture say they can supply a new USB dongle, but, that he would have to pay for the complete program to get the dongle, at a cost of £850.
Is there any way around this one?
TIA
Keith
