Dual Boot

I presently have Windows XP installed on my C Drive as my one and only OS.

In my second drive I would like to install Windows Vista, basically to compare it with XP.
By installing it onto my second drive, will the installation automatically give me a dual boot option? or does this only occur when you install on same drive in different partitions.

How big is your main C: drive ? Vista is not like XP now, it takes allot of ram and hard disk space.. you have too have 1 gig of ram , just to start with. and you will need a special boot loader for both drives..

Like I said, I want to install it onto the 2nd drive which is approx 70 gig. I have heard before about the boot loader and did have the address where to download, can you advise on this please.
I want to keep the sencond OS, ie Vista on the 2nd drive just incase of problems.

In XP, load the Setup program of Vista. Choose new install (instead of upgrade) and install it on the 2nd HD. Dual-booting should be set automatically.
