Dual-channel is the better value?

Why does it seem like most dual-channel kits are priced cheaper than just the single equivalent dimm? You'd think that a performance boosting technology plus 2 dimms would warrent a higher price? Is it because it's cheaper to fabricate smaller sized ram dimms compaired to a single large dimm? Thanks.

Yes, I think they're cheaper to produce. Not because they're smaller, but because they produce more, according to the demand. I think it's fair to say that smaller dimms are more common, therefore they cost less to produce, and they can be priced lower.

Their margin of profit might just be that big on smaller dimms.
