dual core and the RAM

does anyone know if i have to use two pieces of RAM in order to benifit from the dual core processors?
i.e if i have one piece,does this limit the functionality of the dual core processors ?

Do u mean that two sticks of RAM???
If Yes,
Then answer is NO, Even core 2 Duo can work with 1 Stick of RAM...
 
well..i'm sure that it'll work.
i'm talking about the performance.does it affect in any way the performance of the dual core processors weather i have one stick of ram or two?

If you have a motherboard which supports dual channel memory then you are best off using two sticks.
Depending on what you use the pc for you migth not see any difference. Dual Channel Memory just increases the memory bandwidth.
 
well dual channel if generally faster than single stick

if you get a dual core you might is well invest in two sticks ,beacuse most board probably all dual-core board support dual-channel

it does increase you premormence thouht one stick would work
 
Dual core and dual-channel memory are technologies that work independently of each other. Neither is required for the other one to run.
