DVI Problems

Hardware..
Have a new TFT Monitor 19" Belinea which is DVI-D and VGA compatible.
Also have an ASUS Graphics Card (EN6600 TD Silencer) with nVidiaGeForce which has DVI-I and VGA Graphics capabilities.
Have WindowsXP PRO OS.
ABIT AN8 Fatality Motherboard.
1Gb PC2700 Kingston Memory.

Problem....
VGA displays (from boot and thereafter) with a background of dark-green but otherwise works OK.(Not satisfactory)!!
DVI works with the correct graphics colours from boot but only up to the Windows Logo Splashscreen. Then I get the screen display of "no signal...check the cable"
Tried three cables...DVI Single and dual channel with no difference, plus VGA cable.
Any possible solutions please.
Help.

Does it work in safe mode? (with ether cable)
I'm guessing that it works with other screens? (yes/no - this isnt a new build).

Yes In Windows Safe Mode, analogue and digital outputs both work.
In Windows normal mode, only analogue works.
Digital output is not recognised by the new TFT..replaced by manufacturer.
True if either Single or Dual channel cables are used.
Selecting Digital Input on the TFT in normal Windows mode always reverts to Analogue.
TFT is Belinea 19" which has DVI-D and Analogue connections.
Yet DVI will work ONLY in Windows SAFE Mode.
Tried latest and previous Graphic Card Drivers 8.1.9.8. from the NVIDIA Unified Driver.
Still doesn't work.
Get the "No signal" dispaly on shutdown
