First custom PC build advice

Hi all-

Looking to build my first gaming PC over the holidays, hoping I could get some feedback on what Ive got so far-

CPU- Intel Core i5
Newegg.com - Intel Core i5-750 Lynnfield 2.66GHz 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops

MoBo- GA-P55-UD4P

Graphics- GTX 280

RAM- OCZ Gold 6GB DDR3 1600

I havnt looked in the case/HDD/PSU/Optical drives yet, but Ill get to that over the next day or so.

I'm working on a ~$1000, not looking to overclock or run SLI/Crossfire.

Looking to be able to play Borderlands, Modern Warfare 2, Left for Dead, Diablo 3, Starcraft 2 and some older games like Unreal Tournament.

2 more questions on top of the build-

What is more advisable, a 32bit or 64bit Windows 7 OS?
I'm looking to install Linux on it at a later date as well if possible, not sure if that would have an effect on the choice.

If I run a 32bit build, is it possible to use more than 4GB or RAM?

Any suggestions/improvements are more then welcome.

im pritty sure only 3 gigs will be reconizied but all 4 gigs will be used. it also depends on what os your talking about. if your talking about vista 32bit once server pack 1 is installed then all 4 gigs will be reconizied. hope this helped.

also i would reccomend getting some memory clocked 2200mhz so you will have the fastest ram your motherboard will support witch is always a +

core i7 is a much better choice and more future proof. Go for Windows 7 64bit OS. No windows 7 32bit won't utilise all 4GB of ram 3.2 at most.
