That game was truly amazing! The first time I saw the intro in 3D where the camera zoomed in from satelitte view to the carrier deck it blew me away! Anyway as far as PC games go I think it was Leather Goddess of Phobos by Infocom. Which I seem to remember coming with a scratch and sniff card for the truly immersive experience! As far as I can remember it was on my mates 8mhz 286 and came on 3 or so 5.25" floppies! Oh those were the days!
My first PC game was Need for speed II se and then it was my best game till date Metal Gear Solid Snake.
I cant remember the name, but it was a pac man clone for my TRS-80 color computer.. After that, it was King's Quest 2 on the Tandy 1000ex
Doom on my 486 DX2 66, 8MB RAM, 212MB HDD and 512k on board graphics..oh and it was a crappy ISA motherboard! How things have changed eh!
Castles - MobyGames was probably the first game I ever played or one of the old carmen san diego games. I'm 18 now so I can barely remember back then. Wolfenstien 3d or Jazz the Jackrabbit soon followed.
first computer game = The Hobbit on an old Oric-1, [ot]my mum wasn't impressed when the shop salesman said it could draw a circle, :swear: technology has come a bl**dy long was[/ot] first PC game was most probably Solitaire on Win3.11
Oh dear... I first played on a pc when I was 4... on a 45MHz BETOS and the thing is still somewhere... 256 color games like Nicky, Prince of Persia, Lotus etc... man it was amazing... I had sooo much fun playing those. I also recall having windows 3!
computers were so much simpler in the days of DOS & Win[ot]when overclocking meant you had to make a CPU H/S & fan out of things you found in the garage or build the system in a chest freezer[/ot]
The first one for me was pong, which was loaded from a cassette tape while we ate dinner. It took that long to load pong! Man, how things have changed...
Bob the builder on my leapfrog:x: lol nah it was some ninja game on one of those HUGE old floppy discs.. cant remember what type of computer it was and i LOVED it i would have only been about 5 i think :x: and also played super mario bros, sirius, duck hunt..all them.. makes me feel old the first good pc game i ever played was age of empires and i got addicted lol
Duck Hunt was awesome with the gun you got with it (Nintendo system). Bam bam... Also Double Dragon was a lot of fun, especially playing it co-op (right term?) with my brother.
Can't really remember, but it was either Math Blaster, Oregon Trail, or Lemmings. I can't remember which, but I'm leaning towards Math Blaster...
Counter-Strike in BETA I think. Ran it on a 133MHz Pentium with 64MB RAM and 95C OS with 2.5GB of hard drive space and an S3 Savage graphic card or something, a PCI one.
haha yeah duckhunt was awesome my step sister taught me if u put the gun tip against the tv u dont have to aim to kill the ducks haha a bit of a cheat then i got time crisis on playstation and that was awesome too i wonder if they will bring out one for xbox360 or ps3 could u imagine how sick that would be on a plasma with wireless u could have a full sniper rifle
