Googles approach to email.
Gmail is a new, experimental webmailservice, based on the idea never to have to remove email anymore so you won´t have any problem finding them again. Important features are:

Search, not Sort
Use Google Search to find the appropiate message, disregarded when this has been sent or received.

No more deleting mail
With more than 2668.319816 MB (and counting) free storage at your disposal, you´ll never have to delete anything again.

Messages in context
Every single message is stored including all reactions at that message in particular, and displayed as a conversation.

No Popups, no irrelevant banners
Only relevant text adverts en links to similar websites are displayed.

I would never do something like that, because I´m not that kind of person. It just so happends that I have a 100 invites to give away, and since there is no other way of getting a gmail account by receiving an invitation, people should drop their e-mail adresses here.

I´m just a friendly guy, aren´t there any people out there that do believe in honesty??
 
Would you be able to set me up a gmail account? and PM me the username+ password?

I allready have 2 gmail.com's and im trying to get one for a friend to use a GMail Drive [google it if you dont have a clue what im talking about :P] but i can only get @googlemail.com (or was it .co.uk?) accounts beacuse im in the uk [google it if your wondering why]

The "GMail Drive" will only work with a gmail.com account (you only enter your username to set it up, i doubt the author nows the 'situation' in the uk)

Any Help would be great ;)

I hate the new googlemail.com domain for uk users, I think one way is to get someone in the USA to setup an account for you and then you can login and change the password and hint details.

Or maybe it would be possible using a proxy server.
 
The proxys cause some funky errors, i tried proxys from the US and china (i think it was china).

anyway, failed :( [i had allready tried it, but forgot to say that i had :P)
 
I signed up a while ago and still have a gmail.com account rather than the googlemail.com account
 
Would an admin be able to +1 to Marcus_X's 'Times helpfull' count, as he deserves a big thankyou :P
