Hi,

Does this just happen in HL2 deathmatch? or in any other games?
What Internet Connection do you have? This could be related to either your Internet connection or your server(s) connection.

:)

I have wireless internet. since i moved into the living room which is about 35 feet from the router. the router is upstairs because it is shared between 6 people. Since i moved the connection said very low. Before i moved my connection was very high seeing that i was right under the router. i only play half life 2 dm. Is there any way to get a better connection here in the living room. thx alot

I would say the only way to really see a difference in your speed is to upgrade the package from your ISP. What is the speed you have now? If you have a Wireless/wired router (usually 4-ports for wired), you could try and use some cat5e cable to replace the wireless (if its possible), but that might not make much difference because of the distance it needs to travel.

I would suggest trying another game and see if you get the same results, both single player games and multi-player. Right now, there's not enough info to say if the drivers are the issue, the game is, or something else.

With that much speed, you shouldn't have this type of issue, so that would kinda lean toward the drivers needing an update, unless you've made it so Steam doesn't automatically update...

Even when im not gaming my monitor will flciker red for 1 second every now and then. Auto steam updates? Yes when i restart steam if there is an update it just does it.

Make sure any and all power connectors on your motherboard are connected.

Secondly, update your drivers for your video card. I suggest using the OmegaDriver version instead of ATi's driver set. For whatever reason, the Omega's are better tuned than what ATi puts out.
