Gigabit Router will it help?

My ISP (Cox.net) advertise 4GB DL speeds. I have done some bandwidth testing on the net and I run between 2500 and 3000kbps download speed with a Linksys BEFSR41, 4 port router and 10/100 Linksys card on my network.
If I invest in a Gigabit Router and network card, will the increase offset the cost?
Do peer to peer downloads (Winmx), some online gaming and web surfing. I have 5 computers total on my network, 4 PC and 1 laptop. There would be someone on at least 3 of the computers at one time but not often.
The laptop is a work computer and I do online work through a secure sharing program.
The rest of the computers are for the kids and my wife. They surf the web and IM a lot.
Any help or thoughts are appreciated.

4GB? I don't think they have that here in the US. 4MB I can believe. Even if it is 4GB, you still have to remember that your Network speeds are limited to the speeds of NICs on your computers. If they're all 10/100's, you will not see any benefits with a GB router.
