Yes, its a little different, but one thing i do like is the lack of a toolbar, there is a lot more space for viewing webpages, i like it (yes F11 in firefox, but yeah) Also, gmail has been in beta for like three years now, as same with Froogle, so, it may never get past its beta phase.I have been using it for a few hours and i really hate it, its too simple and not very good, but i guess it's only a beta version
Also, would google go as far as posting adwords or something through their own browser to make more money or allow certain google-made pop-ups to "slip" through the pop-up filter? I don't get it. It's really at a infant stage of grwoth and I would've just put the news out that the browser is in the making, not give the first simple BETA to the public. Bad move, in my opinion.

YES, more than likely, making money more efficiently is their goal and a lot of people were complaining about that aspect.
