Yes, another elected official with too much time on his hands. DigiTimes reports:

The lawsuit by four-term legislator Jeffrey Toback (D-Oceanside) calls the Internet search engine the world's largest distributor of child pornography, claiming that child porn is part of the company's business model. Google "continues to put its economic gains ahead of the interests and well-being of America's children," the lawsuit, filed in Nassau State Supreme Court alleges.

Hey, if Google is guilty, pound them into the ground, but this just seems to reek of guilt by a very distant association. If this were to win, which I don't think it will, Yahoo! and other search engines could be next.
 
what comes in my mind that instead of catching those guys who make child porno websites, govt. catch these search engines, why? Coz its easy to catch one, or what?
 
They should add a rule for elected officials that when they start initiatives on their own, those initiatives have to actually be useful. There are too many elected people running initiatives on their own just to -somehow- get better from it themselves. A lot of time and tax payer money is wasted like this, at least in my country.
 
This is like saying UPS, FedEx and DHL are guilty of drug trafficking. Honestly, weed and crack do get shipped. Sure, some people get busted, but not all of them. Now, shall we hold them responsible for drugs? We're not, but we're going after drug cartels.

I think that a lot of legislators are technologically ignorant---which isn't the issue--the job they have is simply not going to allow them to know the ins and outs of everything. What is an issue is that they're making laws on subjects they do not fully understand within reason. I don't think it will win, because it's a real stretch, IMO.
